E casi increíble que, estando tan cargado de frutos (quizá tiene más de 200), está volviendo a florecer! quizá por el buen riego y las altas temperaturas… pero el año
There are two varieties of Pitangas. One red and the other very dark red to black. Yours looks to be of a mixture. The fruit is ripe on the last photo. It does not last more than a day when removed unless you store in refrigerator when you can store for 2-3 days when it ferments. I squeeze with clean hands and take juice. If you put pitangas in a blender,juice has a bitter after taste. Make also jam and ice cream.
Gracias Carlos, yo pensaba que había también una variedad de pitanga anaranjada, creo haber visto y leído sobre esas; luego las rojas y las negras… sí, esta parece ser una roja oscura… quizá mañana esté casi negra… ¿vos tenés buenas variedades? dicen que varían mucho los gustos de los frutos entre un árbol y otro (cultivados de semilla…)
Buenas, se la ve a punto caramelo, estos dias veremos que decis al probarla, ojala sea muy rica si no es que ya la probaste. Saludos!!
