Myrciaria pilosa “Amarela” is an unusual yellow-fruited collector accession of Brazilian Myrtaceae. Its defining characteristic is immediately visible: the fruits mature to a distinctive yellow to golden coloration, creating a striking contrast with the dark-purple and almost black fruits seen in many other Myrciaria forms.

The source material shows rounded, small-to-medium fruits, some with a delicate brownish speckling over the yellow skin. The plant itself has fine, somewhat pendant branches and narrow-elliptic foliage, giving it a light, elegant appearance.

From the available photographs, the plant also appears relatively compact and bushy, although we are still gathering more precise information about its mature dimensions and growth habit.
