Description
Garcinia sp. “Camborgiana” Vermelha — rare delicious red form
This striking collector accession is maintained under the source name Garcinia sp. “Camborgiana” Vermelha. Clayton selected it as a tasty, worthwhile fruit accession, combining good eating quality with extraordinary appearance.
The mature fruit is red to coral-red, with deep longitudinal ribs / lobes. Cut-fruit photographs show vivid pink to red fleshy tissue around a very large seed. The contrast between the red exterior, pink interior and unusual shape makes this an exceptionally distinctive Garcinia for collectors.

- Keep the medium evenly moist, never permanently waterlogged.
- Maintain warm conditions, approximately 24–30°C / 75–86°F.
- Use bright filtered light and protect young seedlings from intense afternoon sun.
- If a seed has already started to germinate, handle the emerging root very carefully.
