Why we like it
‘Apollo’ is a classic selection appreciated for large, sweet, aromatic fruit and good texture. Ideal for starting a seedling block and selecting top plants over time.
Climate and pollination
Hardy shrub/small tree for temperate to warm-temperate regions (roughly USDA 8–11). Cross-pollination generally improves fruit set and size; plant more than one seedling when possible.
Germination guide
Sow on a well-drained mix at about 20–25 °C. Lightly cover and keep evenly moist (not soggy) with bright light and airflow. Typical germination around 2–4 weeks. Pot up once true leaves develop.
