Bacuri sp. “Mato Grosso” — exceptionally sweet Sinop accession
This collector bacuri comes from the Sinop region of Mato Grosso, Brazil, from an area near a river. Clayton describes the source plant as a low-growing shrub.
The pulp is described as very sweet, with a flavor reminiscent of cotton candy, and a texture that dissolves / melts in the mouth.

Taxonomic note
The source currently calls this material Bacuri sp. Mato Grosso. Although it had previously been associated with Platonia insignis in our working files, we prefer the conservative Bacuri sp. designation until the botanical identity is confirmed.
