A collector Plinia already known for good fruit quality

Material circulated internationally under the name Plinia sp. Camacã is exceptionally uncommon but not completely unknown in specialist collections. It has been offered by at least one rare-fruit nursery as seed, where it has been described as a Camacã, Bahia accession with sweet, juicy pulp and thin edible skin.

Because “Camacã” is a locality/accession label rather than a confirmed botanical species name, we are deliberately keeping the identification as Plinia sp. “Camacã” until stronger taxonomic evidence becomes available.
